Restorative Yoga
Restorative yoga is the practice of moving into passive, fully supported yoga postures. While being fully supported by blankets, pillows, chairs, the wall, blocks and ties you release stress and tension from the body and mind receiving all the benefits of the yoga asana. Highly recommended to compliment your more vigorous and active practice.
Gentle Yoga
Enjoy all the benefits of a yoga practice. Move into yoga postures with support and greater ease using breathing exercises, warm-ups and modifications that will help you heal and gain strength and flexibility on many levels. Gentle yoga is perfect for anyone with physical challenges.
Kripalu Yoga
Kripalu Yoga uses classical yoga postures and pranayama practices to enable you to awake to higher levels of emotional stability, mental clarity and physical well-being. Kripalu Yoga honors the wisdom of the body and is taught in three levels or stages:
- Stage 1-Form and Alignment
- Stage 2-Holding and Focus
- Stage 3-Flow and “Meditation in Motion”
Pregnancy and Postpartum Yoga
Pregnancy and early parenting are unique times where the mother, baby and whole family go through amazing transitions. Yoga provides a wonderful range of benefits and lessons to help the body, mind and spirit during this time. Pregnancy Yoga tones the mother and helps prepare her physically and mentally for labor, birth and early parenting. Yoga is a gift to the pregnant woman, her family and the unborn child.
Mom and Babe Yoga
Bring your baby and join other mothers and their babies as we stretch and tone our muscles and relax ourselves after birthing and in the early days of parenting. Share with others the joys and challenges of a new baby as we find ways to take care of ourselves in our new lives.
Yoga for Children
Children love to move and play. Using our imagination we can be a bird, frog, tree, play lots of fun games and relax to healing meditative stories.
Yoga for Special Populations
Using special support and modifications of the yoga asanas I have developed special series of classes including classes for stress, seniors, and strengthening your back.
